  Police raid bikies, 12 arrested

TWELVE people have been charged with drug and weapons offences in the second stage of a police operation targeting motorcycle gangs in Queensland.

Officers involved in operation Golf Cyclone II today raided a number of premises owned by the Hells Angels, Rebels, Bandidos, Black Uhlans, Outcasts and Finks gangs, police said.

The buildings were located in Redcliffe and Caboolture in Brisbane's north, the Sunshine Coast, Maryborough, Gympie and Bundaberg.

Officers found cannabis and methylamphetamines along with two batons and a pellet paint gun in the raids.

Two women and 10 men were arrested and face 20 charges, including possession of a dangerous drug and possession of a dangerous weapon.

The 12 people will appear in local courts in August.

The first phase of operation Golf Cyclone was carried out over two days in May on the Sunshine Coast, and resulted in the arrest of 14 gang members.
