A motorcycle group whose members traditionally pride themselves on being outsiders wants to be insiders--that is, allowed inside Midlothian restaurants.

Two members of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club from Midlothian filed a lawsuit Wednesday alleging that some restaurants in town have turned them away since at least January and that owners were ordered not to serve members.

"The village is obviously trying to use its government power to determine who should live in their neighborhoods and use their businesses," said attorney Patrick Campanelli, who represents the plaintiffs. "I think that's wrong to do."

The lawsuit, which names the village president, police chief and a police lieutenant, was filed on behalf of Gary Kohlman, 43, and Allen Roberts, 51, in Cook County Circuit Court.
