The police are organizing a co-ordinated regional response to the appearance this weekend of hundreds of Hells Angels in Langley.
Members of the bike gang will gather to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their Vancouver, Nanaimo and White Rock chapters at the White Rock chapter's rural compound on 61st Avenue in Langley Township.
"The Langley RCMP, working in partnership with other RCMP units and all police departments in the Lower Mainland, has prepared for a unified response to any policing issue that may arise with respect to Hells Angels members and their associates," said Langley RCMP Cpl. Peter Thiessen.

Font:****"The public may notice officers of all agencies working shoulder to shoulder while policing this event.
"The primary focus will be on increased enforcement, prevention and a measured response to any incidents that may arise.
"The goal is to ensure a safe and peaceful environment for all citizens."
Thiessen said the size of the police force on hand will be determined by the numbers who turn up at the event, and said the regional strategy is designed to keep forces at full strength in all Lower Mainland communities.
This is the second time Langley RCMP have sent out media advisories to alert the public and reassure them that the police are ready for all eventualities.
Hells Angels spokesman Rick Ciarniello said the event is a private celebration.
"I am surprised the police would alert the media to our celebration," Ciarniello said via e-mail to The Province after the first RCMP advisory went out.
"Like any other group in society, we would like to celebrate our 25th anniversary privately."
